Personality:As a child, Daenerys was raised by her abusive elder brother Viserys, molding her into a meek young girl from an early age. Any knowledge of her family's history came through her brother. Constantly being on the run, Daenerys has never had a home she could truly call her own and this caused her to become dependent on Viserys and the kindness of strangers from an early age. It is not until she meets Khal Drogo, and the two wed, that she becomes a more confident and headstrong person - traits more prominent of the Targaryens.
There is an old saying that "Every time a Targaryen is born, the gods toss a coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land." Daenerys is no exception to that rule. She can be cruel just as easily as she can be kind - allowing her brother to be killed for breaking the rules of Vaas Dothrak by brandishing a weapon, burning the woman who murdered her husband and unborn child on his funeral pyre. Her kindness comes in equal measure. She frees slaves in Yunkai, Astapoor, and Mereen. Her three dragons earn her the name Mother of Dragons but it is the slaves to whom she is a true mother, for many have no life left after living as they had. She gives her people new life and purpose, raising them up from slavery.
Daenerys may not always get it right as a ruler but she is quick to take advice where she can. Ser Jorah Mormont, Ser Barristan Selmy, Darrio Naharis, and Misandei are her best advisors and closest confidants until Jorah's exile from Mereen. This teaches her not to be so trusting with everyone, as Jorah had betrayed secrets to Robert Baratheon who had been King of Westeros at the time. He did so in hopes of winning a place back to Westeros. Daenerys is also wary, after a time, that she might not be able to control her dragons. She chooses to lock them away, though Drogon escaped, as a means of reigning in their destruction and the murdering of innocents for their food.
She is a wise queen but at the same time she still holds the innocence of a girl. At times, she has shown herself to be but a young girl by her lack of experience either with sexual situations or just seeing depictions of it. She blushes when she sees an image of sexual intercourse and yet, in Dothraki culture, the act itself is paraded openly. She struggles with confusion when Jorah kisses her. Part of her wants to reciprocate the kindness she has felt from him but the wise part of her tells herself that can never be, as his place is only as a servant to her court. Daario Naharis' presence changes her in that she becomes more open to him, flourishing under his attentions.
While Daenerys struggles to rule at times, she is cunning. She manages to take Yunkai, Astapoor, and Mereen with the Unsullied army, which she won by tricking the Master Krasnys into selling them to her. Daenerys' exploits throughout her journey earned her various nicknames and titles - the Breaker of Shackles, Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt... but she earned the name Daenerys Stormborn the day she was born, as her mother died giving birth to her during a great storm on the ocean journey to Dragonstone, the seat of the Targaryen family.
Daenerys is a sentimental girl, wishing for nothing more than to go back to her childhood, growing up in Braavos in a home with a red door. She has none of the Targaryen madness, a product of their dynastic incestual system, and all of their dragon's fire. She rules her kingdom carefully though it does not prepare her for the Sons of Harpy that try to kill her and her people for changing the ways of Mereen. In the end, Drogon is the last remaining part of herself she has to trust when he takes her away on his back from the ensuing riot.
Abilities: She speaks Common Tongue, Valyrian, and Dothraki but honestly Dany isn't much of a fighter or anything like that.
Augment Skillset: Communication Augment or Civilian Augment (cooking)
